Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Amanda Vojtko. I began teaching at Norwin School District in 2010.
Educational Background
In 2007, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Elementary and Special Education. In addition, I also earned a Master’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania with Reading Specialist certification in 2009. In 2010, I completed a Post Master’s Degree Advanced Study Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from California University of Pennsylvania.
Teaching Career
- 2007-2008 - I taught Reading at Clairton Elementary School in Clairton City School District
- 2008 -2010 - I taught Middle School Special Education Reading at Wesley Spectrum Highland School
- 2010 -2016 - I taught 3rd and 4th grade Autism Support at Sheridan Terrace Elementary School in Norwin School District
- 2016-2023 - I taught 7th and 8th grade Autism Support at Norwin Middle School in Norwin School District
- 2023-Current - I currently teach 7th grade English Language Arts (Learning Support) and am a Learning Support Case Manager for grades 7 and 8
Personal Background
I currently live in Pleasant Hills with my husband, John, 8 year old daughter, Gabriella, and our dog, Toby.
