Mr. Troy A. Collier

Assistant Principal





Mr. Collier was hired as the assistant principal at the middle school in 2014.  Mr. Collier is also the Chief STEM/STEAM Officer for the district.  Mr. Collier is pursuing a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development at Penn State University. He has completed all course work, passed his comprehensive exam, and is presently writing his dissertation.  Additionally, Mr. Collier is concurrently enrolled in Point Park University’s Superintendent Letter of Eligibility program.  He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earned his teaching certification from Seton Hill University, and is certified in social studies and English. Mr. Collier also obtained his Principal PK-12 certification in 2010 and his Vocational Administrative Director 7-12 certification in 2012.  Further, he has presented at state (e.g. Integrated Learning Conference @ PSU) and national conferences (e.g. High Schools That Work @ Nashville and Louisville) about the integration of academics and technology.
