Mandated Screenings
School nurses will perform state-mandated health screenings each year according to the following schedule:
- Height and weight - all students
- Vision Screening for distance and near for all students
- Depth perception, far sightedness and color screening done on 1st grade students
- Hearing Screening - K, 1, 2, 3, 7 and 11
- Physical Exam -K, 6, 11, or on original entry (Private physician encouraged)
- Dental Exam - K, 3, 7, or on original entry (Private dentist encouraged)
- Scoliosis Screening – grades 6 and 7 (Private physician encouraged)
