WELCOME 8th Grade Art

This page identifies to students and parents the assigned eighth grade Art Instructor, Mr. Weimer. It lists a brief introductory paragraph about the instructors background. The page also identifies the location of the Art Studio in the middle school building and offers page links to other useful information such as class handouts, supply list, and student art gallery. Most importantly the page provides a phone number and email to reach the instructor in the event communication is necessary between the student and parent outside of class time. This information page should be utilized by both students and parents during the 9 week course.

R. Douglas Weimer is a life long resident of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He attended Hempfield Area School District and is a graduate of the class of 1988. Doug attended Seton Hill College, receiving a BA degree in Art Education in 1992 and pursued graduate studies in Special Education at the California University of Pennsylvania. Doug worked as a K-12 Art Educator for several years at the Hempfield Area and Derry Area School Districts prior to coming to the Norwin School District.
